Enjoy The Day!

Saturday, February 14, 2015

Enjoy your weekend even if you're not at the beaches of Miami!

Did you know that the flower freesia was named after a German physician Friedrich Heinrich Theodor Freese?
One of the most popular freesia varieties is named Ballerina - not surprising!

In the language of flowers, freesia is said to symbolize innocence & friendship.

Hyvää ystävänpäivää!

Hair Solutions

Tuesday, April 2, 2013

If you have split ends, easily breakable hair
or very damaged lengths...
 ...this Kerastese's renovating dual serum...
...is a perfect product for you!
Fibre Architecte is a miracle serum, at least for my hair!

Keith at Sean Donaldson Hair recommended it for me some weeks ago
and it made a big difference for the condition of my hair.
The product kind of builds the hair stronger.

I've had my hair coloured and cut at Sean Donaldson Hair
for a couple of times in Miami Beach.
For a perfect colour ask for Peter and
for hair cut and blow dry ask for Keith.

Tap Tap

Tuesday, March 19, 2013

Tap Tap is a famous & popular Haitian restaurant
on 5th Street at South Beach.
It looks a bit, well, dodgy, but the food is excellent.
Murals on the wall.
 Starter:
Salad Zaboka Ak Tomato
- avocado & tomato salad with house dressing
Very nice! Lots of herbs in the dressing.

Main course:
Kribish Kokoye
- shrimp in coconut sauce
Diri Kole
- mixed rice & beans
Banann Peze
- fried plantains
The coconut sauce was so lovely and rich with a spicy flavour.

Everything was so fresh and clear. Loved it!
So colourful!
(If you like goat, you can have it here!).
It took 15 mins to make the coffee...
Extremely strong!

Little Black Purse

Tuesday, March 12, 2013

It was time to buy a new make-up purse.
The criteria number one was to have a transparent two-sided section in it.
Found a perfect one at Sephora from its own Sephora collection.

As mentioned it was really the time to get a new purse.
Got this free when purchased some Sisley products some years ago.
It's been in a good use and I've liked it a lot,
but it's already quite worn out.
As a VIB-member of Sephora I could chooce some gift products.
I wanted to try this Josie Maran Argan oil package
which includes:
Bear Naked Wipes, 8pc
Argan Cleansing Oil, 15ml
100% Pure Argan Oil, 15ml
Argan Lip Treatment, full size

Make It Glow!

Sunday, March 10, 2013

Two new treatments for face with SPF.
Naked Skin BB by Urban Decay with SPF 20.
It promises to minimize pores, lines, wrinkles
and redness instantly and in 8 weeks the skin
will get noticeably younger-looking.

Have to agree that the instant result is pretty good;
the skin looks even and healthy without making it greasy.

(Avalable at Sephora)

Miracle Blur by L'Oreal with SPF 30.
This is an instant skin smoother,
which promises to blurs lines, pores and wrinkles in seconds.
It can be used alone but preferably after moisturiser.

A bit of a disappointment.
It gives a rather thick layer which feels not so comfortable
and peels off easily.
Have used it only once, perhaps should give another try
and see if I did something wrong...

(Available at Walgreens)

Happy By The Ocean

Friday, March 8, 2013

Why the beach makes us happy?
It's almost universal.
Just being by the sea puts us in a more
blissfull state of mind.

The blue colour has been shown to produce
feelings of security and relaxation,
and researchers have discover that blood pressure
and stress levels drop when people
watch fish swimming in aquariums.
Enjoying the waves of the ocean.
Ocean gives a perfect background for beautiful photos.
A relaxed and memorable wedding day by the ocean.

I just love the ocean and have even brought it inside.
Scented oil "Ocean" on my nightstand
gives a fresh ocean breeze around the room.

(There was an article of this in the February issue of
Coastal Living and how it's a scientifically proven fact that ocean makes people happy)
